Well, it’s official.
Donald Trump is the GOP’s presidential nominee. On Tuesday, the Apprentice alum received 89 votes from the state of New York during the second day of the Republican National Convention, and that was enough to reach the 1,237 delegates needed to officially become the nominee.

The reality star’s son, Donald Trump Jr., announced those last votes his father needed, and congratulated his poppa, saying:
“Congratulations Dad, we love you.”
In total, Trump received 1,725 votes, Ted Cruz got 475, John Kasich earned 120, Marco Rubio received 114, Ben Carson got seven, Jeb Bush earned three, and Rand Paul received two.
The 70-year-old took to Twitter to react to the nomination news, writing:
Such a great honor to be the Republican Nominee for President of the United States. I will work hard and never let you down! AMERICA FIRST!

Indiana Governor Mike Pence is expected to earn the VP nomination by a voice vote.
