A man was charged with one count of making threatening communications in interstate commerce on Thursday.
And he was quoting Donald Trump.
In yet another criminal charge adjacent to the Commander-In-Chief, Robert Chain of Encino, California was arrested this week, according to a press release by the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts.

Ever since he took office, Trump has been attacking the press like a dictator, calling them liars and “the enemy of the people.”
According to court documents, Chain called The Boston Globe‘s newsroom on August 16 and said:
“You’re the enemy of the people, and we’re going to kill every f**king one of you. Hey, why don’t you call the F, why don’t you call Mueller, maybe he can help you out buddy… I’m going to shoot you in the f**king head later today, at 4 o’clock.”
Chain’s alleged threat was in response to an editorial the day before rebutting the President’s dangerous insistence, titled “Journalists Are Not The Enemy.”
In another call on August 22, Chain is accused of responding to the question of why he was calling by saying:
“Because you are the enemy of the people, and I want you to go f**k yourself. As long as you keep attacking the President, the duly elected President of the United States, in the continuation of your treasonous and seditious acts, I will continue to threats, harass, and annoy the Boston Globe.”
In total, Chain is accused of making 14 threatening calls. If convicted he could face up to 5 years in prison and a fine of $250,000.
In case you were wondering if Trump had backed off of his attacks, this is from around the time Chain was being arrested:
I just cannot state strongly enough how totally dishonest much of the Media is. Truth doesn’t matter to them, they only have their hatred & agenda. This includes fake books, which come out about me all the time, always anonymous sources, and are pure fiction. Enemy of the People!

When you know you have tons of people listening to you and taking every word you say as gospel and you STILL tell those people newspapers are endangering them and their country?
YOU ARE COMPLICIT.
Especially when Trump only does it, as he even admitted, because he wants to cast doubt over the myriad stories that come out about his corruption.
Not just disgusting. Trump’s words are dangerous. And this is more proof.
