Donald Trump has officially picked his VP!
The Donald’s running mate will be Indiana Governor Mike Pence. The gov has been a rumored favorite for a while now so the pick doesn’t come as too much of a surprise.

Trump tweeted:
I am pleased to announce that I have chosen Governor Mike Pence as my Vice Presidential running mate. News conference tomorrow at 11:00 A.M.

While Trump said he wanted to hold off on making the official announcement, he had to reveal his choice because vice presidential candidates can’t run for both federal and state office after July 15.
This means Pence had to take his name out of the running for reelection in Indiana — he has until noon to hand in his paperwork.
According to CNN, the politician extended the official offer via telephone. Sources say Pence was happy to accept.
