Donald Trump Was Supposed To Play The President In Sharknado 3 A Mere Two Years Before Becoming The Actual Commander-In-Chief!

Reportedly, Donald Trump was in “serious talks” to play the Commander-In-Chief in Sharkado 3: Oh Hell No before halting negotiations to contemplate a run for the REAL political office.

It’s said Donnie was “thrilled to be asked” after producers couldn’t lock in first choice, Sarah Palin. Sharknado star Ian Ziering was the one who pitched Donald as an alternative to Palin as he had grown close with the real estate mogul on the Celebrity Apprentice.
According to The Asylum cofounder David Latt, the 71-year-old’s attorney Michael D. Cohen told the production team at the time:

“Donald’s thinking about making a legitimate run for the presidency, so we’ll get back to you. This might not be the best time.”

If only Melania Trump‘s husband did Sharknado 3 instead of running for office. *Sigh*
As Trump had gone silent amid negotiations for the part, the producers offered the role to Mark Cuban. This infuriated the A-lister as Latt claims:

“Then we immediately heard from Trump’s lawyer. He basically said, ├óΓé¼╦£How dare you? Donald wanted to do this. We’re going to sue you! We’re going to shut the entire show down!'”

WOW. Talk about a hissy fit.
Regardless, after learning this, we can’t help but wonder if there is audition footage of POTUS out there…
