Don't Ask, Dont Tell Is Officially Dead!

This calls for a celebration!

As the headline says, the Department of Defense’s Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell is dunzo!

The court ruled it to be unconstitutional as it treats lesbians and gays differently than straights under the law.

The Pentagon has put a halt on all separations of lesbian and gay service personnel. About time!

Formal repeal of DADT is expected at the end of July or beginning of August.

The repeal will occur thanks to Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen and President Barack Obama.

Each step is another brink on the road to equality, America! We’re getting closer!
