Talk about reopening old wounds!
Dove Cameron has been accused of cheating on her ex-fiancé, Ryan McCartan. Although it’s been over three years since they called it quits, he’s digging up the past and she does NOT seem too thrilled.

During a Thursday Q&A on his Instagram Story, the 26-year-old looked back on a dark time in his life when asked about his proudest moment:
“Within two weeks, my fiancée cheated on and left me, I almost died from food poisoning, and Donald Trump was elected president. I truly didn’t think I would be able to make it through that part of my life. I’m proudest of the light that came from the darkness. And my ability to survive and turn the anger and sadness I had into positive life changes and a new way forward.”
His attitude now is a far cry from how he previously spoke about his ex! While chatting with E! News back in October 2016 just days after their split, things seemed amicable:
“I’m good. I love her to death. There’s a lot of love there. You know, she made a decision that—because I love her—I have to respect.”
Their breakup was first announced by McCartan via Twitter:
“Dove has decided this relationship isn’t what she wants. We still love each other very much. Please be sensitive, as this is painful.”

Cameron, who has been dating her Descendants 3 co-star Thomas Doherty since 2017, seemingly alluded to the allegations made when she shared a cryptic quote on Twitter on Thursday afternoon:
“When a toxic person can no longer control you, they will try to control how others see you. The misinformation will feel unfair, but stay above it, trusting that other people will eventually see the truth just like you did.”
