Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Calls Vin Diesel His 'Brother' Years After Their 'Fast & Furious' Feud!

Dwayne Johnson calls Vin Diesel his brother.

After years of public beefing, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s friendship with Vin Diesel is now as solid as… well, you know.

The Jumanji: The Next Level star made it clear he and his Fate Of The Furious cast mate had buried the hatchet in a sweaty Instagram video, in which he called the fellow action star his “brother” — years after calling him “chicken s**t.”

As we reported, their feud first came to light in August 2016 while the two were filming The Fate of the Furious. Although they never filmed a scene together, The Rock seemingly shaded Diesel in an Instagram caption where he called an unnamed male costar a “candy ass.”

After some more passive aggressive social media posts, it became clear the candy ass in question was Diesel. Johnson later explained what caused the feud in an interview with Rolling Stone, revealing:

“Vin and I had a few discussions, including an important face-to-face in my trailer. And what I came to realize is that we have a fundamental difference in philosophies on how we approach movie making and collaborating. It took me some time, but I’m grateful for that clarity. Whether we work together again or not.”

Now, it appears the two are on much better terms

In The Rock’s latest IG vid, in which he thanked fans for making his Fast & Furious spin-off Hobbs & Shaw “a massive global success” with over $750 million at the worldwide box office, the WWE icon thanked Diesel for congratulating him on his recent wedding to wife Lauren Hashian.

The highest paid actor in 2019 said:

“I appreciate it. Lauren and I appreciate the wedding congratulations, and we send love right back to you and Paloma [Jimenez]. I appreciate it, brother.”

Johnson went on to pat himself and Diesel on the back for all the work they’ve done to make the Fast & Furious franchise a global sensation, adding:

“You know what a wild ride this is and what a wild ride this has been. Ten years ago, when you and I spoke, and you invited me into the Fast & Furious family. I’m grateful for that invite and, as you know, my goal was always all these years to come into the Fast & Furious world and help elevate the franchise in any way I possibly could. If I could do that, then I’ve done my job.”

With a reference to Vin’s Fast & Furious character, street racer and criminal Dom Toretto, Johnson concluded:

“And of course, all roads lead to one thing. I’ll be seeing you soon, Toretto.”

Way to kiss and make up, boys!

Ch-ch-check out his message (below)!
