Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is setting the record straight on THOSE rumors.
Seven months ago, The Wrap ran a bombshell report accusing the movie star of being highly unruly on the set of Red One, his new Christmas movie which co-stars Chris Evans. The outlet claimed the Black Adam star would “pee in a Voss water bottle” if he had to go while away from his trailer since he “doesn’t go to the public bathroom.” They also claimed “his team or a PA has to dispose of it.”
EW, right?!
The outlet also claimed he was uncontrollably late to set — sometimes up to EIGHT hours at a time — which ended up costing the production company $50 million, ballooning the film’s budget to a jaw-dropping $250 MILLION. You can read more about all the allegations against the former WWE star HERE.
Well, a lot of time has passed now. And The Rock ain’t shying away from addressing the drama… And downright admitting to some of it.

In an interview with GQ published on Monday, the 52-year-old brought up the claim about him peeing in a bottle. He said:
“I pee in a bottle, yeah, that happens.”
This is something he’s been open about before… But what he hasn’t ever addressed is the time issue. The interviewer asked him, “What about the late part of the story?” and the Fast & Furious star admitted through laughter:
“Yeah, that happens too. But not that amount, by the way. That was a bananas amount … It’s crazy. Ridiculous.”
He went on to call the allegations “bulls**t,” before claiming he’s not afraid to tell the “truth”:
“I’ve said a thousand times: ‘Hey, I’m here. Come and ask me. And I’ll tell you the truth.’”

And it seems he might just be telling the truth, because his Red One director Jake Kasdan came forward in his defense. He told the outlet:
“[He’s] never missed a day of work ever. He has a lot going on. He can be late sometimes, but such is Hollywood — that’s the case with everybody. Honestly, I’ve made three big movies with him. I’ve never seen him be anything but great to every single person on the set.”
His co-star Chris Evans also defended the hulking giant, adding:
“In terms of the guy that I saw, compared to some of the things I’ve seen on other movies with other actors who are not only not conscious of other people’s time and efforts, but they’re unpredictable? I found Dwayne to be — we all know exactly what he’s going to do when he’s going to do it … But this is something that the producers, the director, and it’s all his team, so they all know this. So it’s all basic. It’s not like he’s late unexpectedly, and I wouldn’t even call it late. He comes in slightly later on certain mornings, but it’s part of the plan. It’s worked into the schedules and everyone knows it, so he shows up when he’s scheduled to show up.”
Hmmm. Is this really how they feel, or are they just covering The Rock’s ass?? We mean, Chris even went as far as to tell a story about Dwayne gave away tens of thousands of dollars in a raffle on set for the crew — a story that kind of just sounds like Chris really trying to convince us all the Moana star IS the great guy we all knew him as before the claims:
“There was one day, and I’m really not exaggerating about this. I forget what the number was. The pot was up to four or five grand or something, and before they pulled the name out, Dwayne said, ‘What’s the pot at right now?’ And someone said, ‘I don’t know, four grand.’ And he said, ‘Let’s call it 20.’ And they pulled out a name and whoever won was losing it. Dwayne said, ‘You know what? Should we do it again? How about 30 this time?’ Everyone goes nuts. And then he says, ‘You know what? How about one more?’ And it was 50. I think on one Friday, Dwayne gave away something like close to a hundred thousand dollars.”
Hmmm. Maybe that was his attempt at an apology for showing up late and peeing in bottles, LOLz!
