Dwyane Wade Served The Classiest CLAPBACK For Critics Who Mocked His Son's Thanksgiving Look

Dwyane Wade responds to critics over son's fashion choices.

Dwyane Wade will not tolerate any slander about his precious family!

Just days after defending his wife Gabrielle Union over a swift and ruthless ousting from her duties on America’s Got Talent, the former NBA star took to social media again and responded to some serious “post-Thanksgiving hate” over group shots of his brood, like the one featured (above).

The sweet family photos (below) were uploaded by Union on Thanksgiving and featured the proud parents posing with their one-year-old daughter, Kaavia James, and Wade’s 12-year-old son, Zion. Scroll through ’em here:

The Bring It On star’s post was meant to serve as a message of gratitude and to wish everyone well during the festive holiday. However, it seemed all anyone could focus on was the preteen’s crop top and fake acrylic nails which were proudly on display in the pics.

It wasn’t long before comments like these (below) began to pop up like weeds in Gabrielle’s comments section:

“The nails is a lil extreme ??‍♀️ yall let this go too far and he just a kid”

“Beautiful family, Happy Thanksgiving, but please…don’t let that boy dress up like a whole woman. What is with our men and being feminine and now our people are condoning this. I have 2 girls I just took shopping and those are little girl clothes on this boy, along with the Dr. Martens…c’mon Wade Family. ??”

“Na I [don’t] appreciate ya got this lil black man with tips on smh ya need to do better”

“So sad these boys turning into girls?????it hurts my heart and he’s young”

“Yall should be ashamed”

“Boy or girl, a twelve-year-old shouldn’t have on a crop top shirt, and a full set of nails ??…… Furthermore, A boy shouldn’t have it on PERIOD.”

Throwing shade at a young kid expressing himself? Are people really this bored and angry?? Sigh.

The unwanted criticism prompted the 37-year-old former athlete to hop on Twitter and shut down all that noise. In response to the controversy, he said:

“I’ve seen some post-thanksgiving hate on social about my family photo. Stupidity is apart [sic] of this world we live in—so i get it. But here’s the thing—I’ve been chosen to lead my family not y’all. So we will continue to be us and support each other with pride, love & a smile! ✌?”

Well, if that isn’t one of the classiest clapbacks we’ve ever seen! THIS is how you do parenting, y’all! Take notes!!

The messages didn’t stop there as Wade replied to a few other users — except these individuals had nothing but high praise for how the patriarch is choosing to raise his family.

When one follower expressed her deep appreciation for the way Zion’s parents have embraced his individuality, Dwyane cosigned the tweet and reiterated his commitment as a father:

He also replied to another fan who gave him props for “setting the example of a Black father loving and accepting their children as they are,” as seen here:

TBH, we couldn’t agree more!

In this day and age, kids are resorting to suicide over cyber-bullying acts like the one we described earlier, so, this is truly the kind of love, support, and healthy environment that any child (but especially a young LGBT one) could use. Ignore the haters and keep up the good work, y’all!
