Elizabeth Hurley is making it work with Billy Ray Cyrus from across the pond! And she credits THIS for their relationship going so well!
The unlikely couple have been together for over a year now, but with Billy Ray’s home base being in Nashville, and Elizabeth’s being all the way over in England, fans have wondered how they’ve managed. Of course, long-distance relationships aren’t impossible — but they can really be a struggle for some couples! It doesn’t look like it’s a problem for these two, though.
In a new interview with E! on Monday, the actress said:
“We’re very happy together. We’re really enjoying trying to get this balance between America and the UK. He’s always been based in America—Tennessee, for the last 35 years or something.”

What makes it easier, though? Elizabeth says it’s the things they have in common! She revealed:
“But the good thing is that he’s very country where he is in Tennessee. I’m very country where I am. And that’s a really important thing in our relationship that neither of us want to be out and about.”
The Royals star went on, sharing that she and the country singer just love the outdoors!
Elizabeth said “being at home in the country and snuggling up and doing a lot of things with nature”:
“Nobody would look at either of us and think that’s who we were, but we are. And I love it. I love gardening. He loves being outside in nature. We both love watching birds of prey. It’s a really lovely life.”
Bonding over television seems to be another aspect, too! She added:
“We’ve just watched the Little House on the Prairie together and we’re like, ‘We can do that! We could have pined in the prairies.’ We’d be very good.”
