Elle Macpherson is expanding Elle Macpherson Intimates, her lingerie brand, to include a high-end line called Obsidian.
She says:
“Obsidian is raw and sexy with a sophisticated edge. My intention with the desgin was to encompass sophistication, style, and fashion-forward design with an intense desirability. The name Obsidian comes from the naturally occurring volcanic glass formed as rock which I found on recent holiday with friends. It has all the passion and life force of primordial raw energy and seemed a perfect inspiration for this raw collection.”
The line will include quality bras and underwear made of high-end fabrics like tulle and silk, as well as mens trunks, briefs, boxer briefs, tee shirts and lounge pants.
Launching in spring 2010, Obsidian will be available in high-end specialty and department stores, but prices are not confirmed at this point.
