As we’re all speculating on which celebs knew about Diddy‘s infamous after-parties, we didn’t expect to find video of someone saying they knew about those late-night parties on national TV!
The “Freak Offs” as the hip hop mogul called them, were late night events in which — per prosecutors — he trafficked and drugged women and men into having nonconsensual sex for the amusement of him and his rich pals. These often followed his huge a-lister bashes, according to the indictment.
What we’re talking about is highly illegal events celebrating sexual assault. But Diddy was hiding in plain sight the past couple decades, as we’ve now seen he’s talked about his parties in multiple interviews. The latest one to resurface is with Ellen DeGeneres.

OK, so anyone who saw Ellen’s trainwreck convo with Dakota Johnson knows a recurring theme for her interviews was disingenuously whining about not being invited to the cool kids’ parties. Turns out that’s what she did with Diddy in a segment from around November 2009. She began by asking:
“So, tell me about your birthday party, am I invited?”
Combs responds:
“Yes. You’re definitely invited, I invite you to all my parties you just haven’t seemed to show up to them.”
OMG, he totally gave her the Dakota, too! LOLz! But this interview may turn out to be even more damaging for Ellen in retrospect. She asks about what time his parties start, and Diddy tells her 9:30, which surprises her. She counters:
“I think of you as starting a party around midnight.”
He quips, smiling mischievously:
“That’s a different type of party though.”
OMG! We now know exactly what he means! Oh no! He tells her that would go until “like maybe 3 o’clock”:
“And then you know we have the top two floors of the hotel.”
Ellen asks:
“And then it’ll carry on there?”
Diddy corrects her, telling her what’s next is “the afterparty.” And that’s when she responds:
“Mm-hm, no, I know about them.”

So had Ellen actually heard about Diddy’s freak offs? Or was she just comically pretending to be cool?
Big point on her side though? Diddy does say in the interview that Ellen never shows up to his parties even though she’s invited. Ironically, the same insincerity that hurt her in the Dakota interview may have helped her in this case! LOLz!
