Ellen DeGeneres rewarded Derrick Walton, a chef and restaurant owner in Des Moines, Iowa who was once homeless, with a check for $10,000 to support his weekly good deeds.
But what could he have done to be deserving of this 10k, one may ask??
Derrick closes his restaurant, Chef D’s Rock Power Pizza, once a week to feed the homeless in his area—truly feeling for the people who may just need a hot meal to get their lives back on track!
