While enjoying the VMAs, the two were snapped looking awfully cozy together as Ed placed his hand on an inneresting place — her bare upper thigh!
And you know that shiz made rumors run wild, but Ellie quickly did her best to shut them down.
She took to Twitter and posted:

Well, gurl, we understand it’s a pain in the a** to be romantically linked to all your friends, but what was going on was far more seksi than just a holding of hands!
Plus, we all know now that you’re not “holding hands” with One Direction‘s Niall Horan.
And since Niall DID say you had a boyfriend, could it have been Ed he was referring to??
