We honestly couldn’t think of a better person to do this!
Elton John has been tapped to write a book about the AIDS crisis and all of the hardships that come along with it.
It’s called Love is the Cure: Ending the Global Aids Epidemic and will include memories of friends who died of AIDS-related illnesses, including Queen frontman Freddie Mercury. Apparently it’ll be published in July, with an accompanying audio book recorded by Elton himself.
Here’s what he has to say:
“AIDS is a disease that must be cured not by a miraculous vaccine, but by changing hearts and minds, and through a collective effort to break down social barriers.”
And what a better way to start doing that than a book!
Also, all the proceeds will go to charity!
