Some young boys like to collect baseball cards, rocks, Pokemon…
You don’t hear about too many boys who like to collect Elvis Presley albums, especially when they were so young when The King had passed.
Regardless, a die hard fan named Steve Lacey has collected over 12,000 mint condition vinyl records in his lifetime and starting today, those albums go on sale. Steve explains:
“It began when I was 11 and I heard he (Presley) had died. I got a paper round and spent everything on the collection. I worked five nights a week in a chippie (fast food joint) to buy more. Then I had to decide whether I wanted a mortgage or more Elvis records. I kept buying records.”
The collection is expected to fetch as much as $375,000!
Wowza! That will help you get a mortgage!
Wonder why he is parting with such a treasure?!
