Emma Roberts‘ dad is responding to the news of her wedding after he notably wasn’t in attendance.
As we’re sure you know by now, the actress got married to her longtime beau Cody John over the weekend in a lavish ceremony in Idaho. The wedding had a star-studded guest list, but one Hollywood name who wasn’t in attendance was her dad, Eric Roberts.
Of course, they’ve had a pretty rocky relationship from the start amid his struggles with addiction, so it’s not super surprising that he wasn’t there. But what did he have to say about it?

When asked, Eric told PageSix on Monday:
“I love my daughter, always have, always will. It is perfectly wonderful for her to celebrate however she wants, with whomever she wants.”
Oof. Is he insinuating she didn’t want him there?
This is definitely a complicated situation. But we’re glad to hear Emma had the best day of her life, regardless. Reactions, Perezcious readers?
