This reunion must have been a nightmare for Emma Roberts and Evan Peters!
The former couple made a rare appearance onstage together during the Disney Upfront showcase at the North Javits Center in New York City on Wednesday, where they announced the addition of Paul Anthony Kelly to the Season 13 cast of American Horror Story. Their co-stars Sarah Paulson, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, and Angela Bassett also joined them on stage. However, none of them acted as a buffer for the exes! Nope, Evan and Emma had to stand next to each other during the entire announcement! Awwwwkward! See the reunion pics HERE.

Their onstage reunion comes years after their tumultuous relationship ended. As you may recall, the two met on the set of the dramedy Adult World in February 2012. They sparked romance rumors months later after being photographed holding hands at a wedding and made their red carpet debut during the Golden Globes in January 2013.
However, their relationship took a scary turn five months later. Emma was arrested after an alleged domestic violence incident at a hotel in Montreal in July 2013. Sources claimed to TMZ at the time that the police were called after someone reported a fight in their room. When law enforcement arrived on the scene, they found Evan suffering from a bloody nose and arrested the Scream 4 star.

She was released shortly after, and he declined to press charges. A rep for the pair said:
“It was an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding. Ms. Roberts was released after questioning and the couple are working together to move past it.”
Despite the alleged incident, Evan proposed to Emma a year later. They suddenly called off their engagement in June 2015, but continued to date on and off until 2019. They split for good by then.
During their time together, they worked on four seasons of American Horror Story, including AHS: Coven, AHS: Freak Show, AHS: Cult, and AHS: Apocalypse. The duo is now back together for the upcoming season of the popular series — but only as co-workers! While Evan is seemingly single after breaking up with Natalie Engel last year, Emma is currently engaged to actor Cody John. So, don’t plan on a romantic reunion this time!
