Emma Stone Talks About Turning 30, Becoming An Adult & Finding Her Voice For British 'Vogue'

Emma Stone

Emma Stone is all grown up!
The actress opened up to British Vogue for their February 2019 issue — which hits stands on January 4 — to discuss getting older, settling into her career, and much, much more.

Speaking about growing older as she turns 30 and transitions in her career, Stone said (below):

“I got gloomy [over turning 30] for about a week, but realized the most interesting part about becoming an adult is most things become bittersweet. I’m still finding my voice. I haven’t worked since last December – by the time I work again, it will have been 14 months…I didn’t learn a language, I didn’t learn to cook, I’ve been a little…drifty.”

Ha! That’s OK — everybody needs some time like that!
And Stone got real about adult life lessons she learned while growing up, as well (below):

“It’s OK if not everybody likes you. And that doesn’t make it more appealing to convince them of why you are likeable. It’s interesting, you saying about the public persona of my ‘charm’ or whatever. Part of that is my damage, you know. Part of that is my flaw…so that was a major lesson, not falling over myself to win over the unwinnable…nobody knows what they’re doing! We’re all just a bunch of people trying to figure out how to get through the day.”

Amen! Smart woman, there!
