The actresses were in back-to-back Yorgos Lanthimos films together, Poor Things and Kinds of Kindness. They had a lot more screen time together in the latter. You’d expect they were pals, right? Well…

The video got over 11 MILLION views — and drew a lot of controversy as fans wondered if there was nearly a brawl at the Oscars… again. And if so, what the heck was it all about??
“Am I the only one thinking they’re going to fight?”
“For a moment i thought Margaret was ready to square up”
“Did she just call her a lint licker?!?”
“Why is Emma backing away from her like that lol.”
“She was straight pressin her. Idc what no one says.”

Well, DailyMail.com asked pro lipreader Nicola Hickling — and even she had to admit it LOOKS scary as Margaret’s hubby Jack Antonoff backs away:
“It looks like Margaret is about to square up in this scene, giving Emma her mean girl look.”
However… it’s all good! Nicola says:
“Don’t worry, they are not fighting though. They do this all the time.”
Yep! They’re just dramatic pals playing around! The expert adds:
“In fact, Margaret says to Emma, ‘Yeah and I am about to freak out.'”

We’re just glad these two don’t have issues! They’re both SO funny and talented, we’d love to see them keep working together — or just supporting one another!
