Can everyone just chill out for a second?
Emma Watson really hasn’t been able to catch a break ever since her recent Vanity Fair photo shoot where her breasts are partially exposed (gasp!!!!) was released last week.
We don’t know how many times we have to say this, but just to be sure… Yes, women are allowed embrace their sexuality while also advocating for choice and equality for all other women. The two are not mutually exclusive.
After the backlash from the shoot died down a bit, the BeyHive dug up a 2014 Wonderland interview in which they claimed (key word) Miz Watson criticized Beyoncé for expressing her sexuality in her self-titled visual album.

Now, before you get too fired up thinking about how anyone could criticize Queen Bey — the 26-year-old took to social media early on Tuesday morning with receipts from the full interview with Tavi Gevinson to prove that the quotes were taken completely out of context.
She shared:

In case that’s difficult to read, the part of the interview that no one is talking about is when Emma said that although she was conflicted, she praised the Formation singer for “making her sexuality empowering”:
[Beyonc├â┬⌐] does make it clear that she is performing for him. And the fact she wasn’t doing it for a label, she was doing it for herself and the control that she has directing it and putting it out there, I agree is making her sexuality empowering because it is her choice. The second is that I would say you do get sense of, ‘I can be a feminist, I can be an intellectual, I can be all these other things, but I can also be ok with my femininity and being pretty and with all these things that I thought might negate my message or negate what I am about’. That really is the most interesting thing about the album. It is so inclusive and puts feminism and femininity and female empowerment on such a broad spectrum.
No, there isn’t one right way to be a feminist, but as long as we’re respecting and supporting one another we’re on the right path.
So can we stop pitting women who are actually making a positive difference against each other already??
