A sad day for comedy.
Two-time Emmy-winning actor Bob Einstein has passed away at the age of 76 after a brief battle with cancer.
Most recently, Bob was best known as Marty Funkhouser on Curb Your Enthusiasm, but he first came to fame under a different name — Super Dave Osborne.

The constantly failing daredevil character was a favorite of late night talk shows and Saturday morning cartoons alike in the ’80s and ’90s.
Before his onscreen persona was born, Einstein won two Emmys as a comedy writer/producer on The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour and Van Dyke and Company.
Einstein was also the brother of comedian Albert Brooks, who had to take a stage name, considering his birth name — Albert Einstein — was taken.
Albert said it best, tweeting:
R.I.P. My dear brother Bob Einstein. A great brother, father and husband. A brilliantly funny man. You will be missed forever.
