Eric Stonestreet is gushing about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s wedding!
In a new interview with People, the Modern Family star said the “awesome” event was definitely a highlight for him:
“I mean, I think you’ve read everything that there is to be said about it.”
He attended the huge Madison Square Garden ceremony alongside his wife, Lindsay Stonestreet. As for why he didn’t speak out before, like some of the other wedding attendees, he said:
“We were just very conscious of being respectful to the couple. I didn’t want to peep before. I didn’t want to peep after. And then once people started putting stuff out there, of course we were proud to be invited.”
Aww! We LOVE that!

But now that he’s given himself the green light on spilling the tea… What did the actor think? Well, he started by talking about how he’s known Tay for a while, and how he’s been following Travis’ career since the very beginning:
“I know Taylor a little bit and got to hand her an award many years ago, which was fun. We’ve seen Travis from when he was drafted and we’ve seen him through different phases of his life.”
He added:
“So when they started dating, we were so happy for him. But we were also happy for Taylor because we know what kind of human being Travis is. So we were excited to celebrate their love with them and a few other people in New York City, and it was just a treat to be there.”
What a special invite to receive after so many years of following them both!
His favorite part about the event might shock you, though! The Cameron Tucker portrayer said:
“I think my favorite moment was just that they created a place that they could have the normalcy that they deserve. And it just happened to be at Madison Square Garden with security making sure everybody was safe and good and they could just have a night for themselves. I really thought of it as what a gift they gave to us too.”
Excellent point! We mean, turning a venue like MSG, full of at least 1,000 people, into a sanctuary where everything went smoothly and had that sense of “normalcy”? What a feat!
Eric continued:
“It’s one thing nobody’s talking about is what a gesture it was to those people that they invited and to welcome us and to provide such an incredible night and then to provide such incredible generous donations to charities in New York and Kansas City and everywhere else.”
As we’re sure you’ve heard, Tay and Trav made some MASSIVE donations ahead of their wedding to a slough of meaningful charities. It’s so sweet of Eric to acknowledge all their hard work and love that they’ve spread.
