Euphoria's Chloe Cherry Says OF Era Has NOTHING To Do With 'Empowerment' -- And Adult Content Star Alix Lynx Has Words!

Chloe Cherry doesn’t think people doing OnlyFans is empowering at all — but one of the subscription platform’s biggest stars thinks differently!

In an interview with Refinery29 last week, the Euphoria star, who portrays Faye, told the outlet that she doesn’t see any “empowerment” in the new era of OnlyFans and sex work:

“OnlyFans and sex work have become more normalized, but it’s literally only because of capitalism and the economy getting worse. It has nothing to do with empowerment or power or anything. What it actually 100 percent has to do with is just the fact that we live under capitalism and the economy is horrible. That’s why people are turning to it.”

But adult content star Alix Lynx disagrees! She told Us Weekly in a reaction statement on Thursday:

“With the content I create, I get to be an artist. I have a vision, I bring it to life, and people are willing to pay me for it. I am getting paid to be myself and be creative, and I don’t think anything could be more empowering than that.”

She did, however, admit that this business isn’t for everyone:

“You have to actually want to do it. You have to find it fun, exciting and empowering. But if it resonates with you, it can give you a level of freedom and control that a lot of other jobs don’t.”

And as far as herself? Alix says it was the right decision:

“When I quit everything and got into webcamming, for the first time in my life, I felt a sense of inner peace. I was doing exactly what I wanted to do, living my life the way I wanted to, and that gave me a massive amount of trust and confidence in myself.”

Alix, who boasts over a decade in the industry, also sang praises for the platform and way of life:

“OnlyFans especially has been life-changing. I have these same conversations with other women in the industry and we all feel it. It was like, ‘Oh my God, I can stay home? I don’t have to come into an office? I can just sit here, talk to people, create content, and they pay me really well?'”

It’s worth noting that not everyone gets this outcome when joining a platform like OnlyFans! Only the top percentage make the big bucks and enough to sustain themselves and their lifestyle. Plus, not to mention, the internet is forever — and there’s lots of other things to consider than just the job itself. Just as she said, it’s not for everyone!
