So much relationship drama to dig up…
Evan Peters may be doing his thing with Halsey right now, but according to an insider with knowledge of his dating history, it turns out the American Horror Story star’s past romance with Emma Roberts was quite the sordid situation. And to hear the source tell it now, maybe it’s for the best the duo never worked out…

Speaking to Us Weekly about the previous relationship between 28-year-old Roberts and 32-year-old Peters, one source reveals there was apparently a great deal of toxicity there (below):
“Evan was so in love with Emma and their relationship became very toxic. They had the highest highs and then they would not speak for days. He took a long time of figuring himself out again before he was ready to date.”
Whoa! Peters and Roberts had a remarkably long dating history, having first met on the set of the film Adult World way back in 2012. They were together right up until March of this year when they mutually decided to end their engagement.
But back in 2013, there was trouble: the Scream Queens alum was arrested on domestic violence charges after cops were called during an apparent altercation between the two, only to discover her boyfriend bleeding from the nose.
Both actors immediately downplayed the incident, and though a source at the time said the situation went “way out of control,” charges were dropped and everybody moved on. Still…
Drama found Roberts and Peters again in 2017, when Roberts may have played a role in the breakup of Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen. According to an insider who spoke to Us about the major drama back at the time, Bilson allegedly found text messages from Roberts on Christensen’s phone that were “inappropriate.” Roberts and Christensen had been co-starring in the film Little Italy at the time. However, even though Bilson broke her relationship off, Roberts and Peters were “still very much together” after the incident. Interesting.

Still, the pair managed to last until March, where they mutually broke things off. Toxic or not during their dating life, the end appears to have been mutual and amicable, with confidants on both sides reporting how simple and seamless the split appeared to be.
And now, that same insider from up top (above) notes that things are much better for the 32-year-old Pose alum, saying (below):
“Evan’s friends really like Halsey and think they are the perfect duo.”
Awww! Not a hint of toxicity, either.
In fact, we’ve only yet heard good things about these two since getting together… here’s hoping things continue to work out!
