Fashion Commentary On Melissa McCarthy's Golden Globes Gown

Our newest fashion correspondent, Jessica Kane, is back this week to share yet another great fashion editorial.
This time around, she has a special message for Melissa McCarthy — stop wearing dark colors!
Reveals Jessica:

I’m one of Melissa McCarthy’s biggest fans, but I was so sad to see her on the Golden Globe red carpet in a dreary dark emerald ensemble that quite simply, doesn’t match her personality and fire in life. I barely recognized her! If I were Melissa’s stylist, I would have put her in a delicious jewel toned strapless and shown off that beautiful body and soul! Something that said, I’m beautiful and I KNOW IT!
Ditch the black and embrace color! Too many plus size women think that black will make them look/feel better, but guess what, it’s not! Experiment with jewel tones and challenge yourself to live life more colorfully.
Looking for a gorgeous cocktail or formal dress, but no idea where to go? Check out my favorite stops:
sydneyscloset.com – Biggest selection on the web with everything from bridal to couture.
igigi.com – Classic dresses that will be forever beautiful by designer Yuliya Raquel.
nordstrom.com – Carries my favorites Rachel Pally and Tahari Women.
macys.com – Carries one of my favorite plus dress lines, Ruby Rox.

As for the blue dress above, that’s from Sydney’s Closet and a great choice for the ladies with curves.
