Fashion Police Writers Accuse E! Of Being Cheap! Demand $1 Million In Back Wages!

fashion police writers lawsuit underpaid
Fashion Police may be one of E!‘s top rated shows, but it certainly doesn’t come across that way in their writers’ paychecks!
On Wednesday, the writers filed a claim with the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, accusing their employer of violating state laws by not paying them overtime.
One writer said:

“The most I├óΓé¼Γäóve been paid for a show has been for eight hours of work. In reality, I put in anywhere from 12 to 32 additional hours on each show ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ time I should have been compensated for. On top of that is all the unpaid overtime we regularly work. There are some shows where we are required to work 16-hour days, from 2:30 p.m. until around 5:30 the following morning.”

Another writer added:

“We love writing for Fashion Police, but the company needs to do the right thing and pay us fairly for all the hard work and time we put into it. We├óΓé¼Γäóve helped make it one of the network├óΓé¼Γäós top-rated shows and E! needs to start treating us like professional writers.”

If the network is found in violation, they could be forced to cough up more than $1 million in back wages, but according to E! they haven’t done anything wrong.
Almost immediately after the claim was filed, E! released a statement saying:

“E! values our Fashion Police writers and we pay them fairly and in full legal compliance.”

Come on E! There’s nothing fashionable about being cheap!
Hopefully they get this sitch figured out in a jiffy. We need our Joan Rivers fix every Friday night!
