First Transgender Firefighter Welcomed By FDNY!!!

New York has been on SUCH a roll lately!
We’re thrilled to announce that an NYC resident named Brooke has been welcomed by the FDNY as the first transgender firefighter in the city’s history!
Here’s what Brooke had to say about it in a written statement:

“I am appreciative of the support that the FDNY has given me during this time in my life. However, it is my expressed wish that the details of my personal and professional life remain private.”

And here’s what a fellow firefighter had to say about it:

“It├óΓé¼Γäós a tremendously courageous decision. Hopefully everyone will be supportive.”
