Kalenna Harper is speaking out about the claims made by her former Dirty Money group member Dawn Richard’s lawsuit against Diddy.
As we previously reported, the Danity Kane singer sued the 54-year-old music mogul for sexual assault and inhuman treatment earlier this week — as well as claimed she and other celebrities witnessed him abuse his ex-girlfriend Cassie Venture. One of those celebs included Kalenna. In the court documents, Dawn alleged she saw Diddy throw Cassie against the wall, choke her, and drag her up a flight of stairs in his Los Angeles home while “high on drugs.” That is so f**ked up. And that is just the start of what the Damaged vocalist claimed to have witnessed in the past. She also claimed to see the rapper hurl a “scalding” hot pan of eggs at Cassie as he yelled:
“I’ve been asking you for my s**t! I can’t stand you bitch, you never do it right!”

Dawn also allegedly saw him punch the Me & U artist in the face and attempt to strangle her with his hands other times. So awful. We can only imagine how difficult it must have been for her to witness firsthand, especially after watching the horrific security footage of Diddy hurting her. In the suit, the performer said she and Kalenna urged Cassie to leave Diddy after seeing his horrible treatment of her. When he found out about the incident, he allegedly threatened the two women:
“Y’all bitches don’t get in my relationship. … Just make money and shut the f**k up. I end artists … I shelve careers … You could be missing … You bitches want to die today?”
Whoa.
All of that is so scary. But after being named in the lawsuit, Kalenna denied ever witnessing Diddy abusing Cassie. The 42-year-old songwriter posted a statement to Instagram on Friday that read:
“I, acknowledge the recent lawsuit filed by Dawn Richard in which my name has been mentioned 33 times. While I fully respect Dawn’s right to recount her experiences, I want to emphasize that her account reflects her personal perspective and should not be interpreted as a universal truth applicable to everyone involved. It’s important to understand that while I was present in some of the same professional settings mentioned, many of the allegations and incidents described in this suit are not representative of my experiences, and some do not align with my own truth.”
Kalenna then stressed she had never witnessed or been involved in “any behavior that could be considered abusive or unlawful” before adding:
“As this matter is now part of an ongoing legal process, I will refrain from discussing any specific details further. My focus continues to be on my family, my music, and my work, which I will pursue with the same dedication and positivity that have always guided me. I trust that the legal system will handle this case with the fairness and thoroughness it requires, and I support any process that seeks to uncover the truth.”
