Absolutely shameful!
Republican former Colorado sheriff Patrick Sullivan was arrested yesterday for “trying to exchange methamphetamines for sex with a man.” He was sadly booked at a local county jail that actually bears HIS name.
Here’s what current Araphoe County sheriff Grayson Robinson had to say about it:
“The Arapahoe County Sheriff├óΓé¼Γäós Office is saddened, and this is a sad time for our community. But we have a greater purpose, to serve our community with integrity and professionalism, and that├óΓé¼Γäós exactly what we├óΓé¼Γäóve done with this investigation.”
Shockingly, former sheriff Sullivan had previously been named National Sheriff of the Year in 2001, and he was a WIDELY respected law enforcement figure.
Sullivan’s charges include “unlawful distribution, manufacturing, dispensing or sale of a controlled substance.” He faces up to six years in prison for his crimes.
While it sounds like this man HAS done good things in his life, he clearly has some VERY SERIOUS issues and should not be allowed to walk the streets. We want the people in the Denver area to be safe, and we’d feel much better if he were behind bars.
