Whoa! Frankie Leaves The X Factor UK!

Last week, Frankie Cocozza had a feeling that it was gonna be a good night. Bet he doesn’t feel the same now!
The X Factor producers and Frankie have jointly announced that as of this week, Frankie is out of the competition for good. While neither side revealed exactly what happened to force his bow out, both agree that the fault lies with Frankie and his “behavior” behind-the-scenes.
Frankie released a statement first, saying:

“I’d like to apologise to Gary, my fellow contestants and everyone who has voted for me, but, as of today (TUES), I will no longer be in The X Factor. My life during the show has gone out of control and my behaviour off stage has over-stepped the rules of the competition. I no longer deserve my place in the show, so I am therefore leaving. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me.”

An X Factor spokesperson added further:

“Frankie is leaving the show today after breaking competition rules. He is going to take some time out before continuing his career as a singer. We wish him all the best for his future.”

The official announcement will be made on Saturday’s show, but we’ve got to tell you, we’re really surprised by this. From what we heard, Frankie was getting a little to friendly with the liquor cabinet after shows, but a little boozing would have never gotten him thrown off X Factor US. Still, the reports also say he was a bad influence on other contestants, so if his drinking was hurting others as well as himself, we guess the show runners had no choice. It was probably a really tough call to make, but an understandable one all the same.
Hopefully, he’ll learn from this.
