Gorgeous!
Slumdog Millionaire starlet Freida Pinto is on the cover of BlackBook magazine’s December issue looking like we’ve never seen her before.
And that’s a good thing!
Freida also opened up to the mag about her romance with co-star Dev Patel and her future in film:
On rumors of her engagement to Dev:
“Dev had such a problem trying to tell people that was not true. I├óΓé¼Γäóve decided not to answer stupidity with more stupidity.”
On worrying about having a career after a huge first film:
“When your first film happens to be such a big success, there├óΓé¼Γäós going to be pressure and expectations, and people are going to dissect you in a way that├óΓé¼Γäós almost uncomfortable. I was worried people might dismiss me as someone who had 20 minutes in a film and now considers herself a big star. But it├óΓé¼Γäós like, my god, I never asked for this.”
On whether she’ll ever do a Bollywood film:
“People in India wonder why I├óΓé¼Γäóm staying clear of Bollywood films. I├óΓé¼Γäóm not staying clear of them, but there are some amazing films in India, made on a much smaller scale, that don├óΓé¼Γäót get the same appreciation as the big Bollywood films, and I├óΓé¼Γäóve never understood why. Those are the films that I want to be a part of, so I├óΓé¼Γäóm just waiting for something like that to come my way, and I├óΓé¼Γäóm telling you, I├óΓé¼Γäóm going to grab it with both hands.”
We’re glad to see Freida is getting some editorial love and hope to see more of her in 2011!
