Farrah Fawcett‘s best pal, Alana Stewart, is speaking out on her friend’s behalf regarding the “controversial” cancer treatments Fawcett received in Germany.
Says Stewart:
Farrah chose to go to Germany because they are doing a lot of treatments over there that are very cutting edge (and not yet approved in the United States). They inject the tumor directly with chemo, it’s called ’embolization.’ Your immune system is not compromised as it is when you do the standard.
Even though Fawcett’s treatments were “excruciatingly painful” because patients of embolization are not allowed to go under anesthesia, Stewart said Farrah had an amazing sense of humor about her cancer treatment and still is able to joke about the procedure.
Keep those spirits high!
