Friends of deceased plastic surgeon Dr. Frank Ryan fire back at Heidi Montag‘s claims that he forced her to get more operations than she wanted and that he was obsessed with her.
Dawn DaLuise, a friend of Ryan’s family, says:
“It’s desecrating him, it’s denigrating a person who can’t defend themselves. It’s really abhorrent.”
Published emails between the doctor and Montag show the surgeon asking if she wanted injectibles such as Botox and if she could wear T-shirts promoting his children’s foundation.
DaLuise counters the suggestive rumors and says Ryan would routinely ask his celebrity clients to visit the charity’s ranch to publicize the foundation and offer them touch-up procedures in between surgeries, adding:
“The difference between offering Botox and performing surgery is similar to a well-meaning dentist encouraging patients to floss and brush daily versus offering to do root canal on every tooth.”
Hmm, it’s not hard to believe that a PR hungry Montag may have blown up the situation for more than it was worth, but it’s not hard to believe that a plastic surgeon would take advantage of a patient like Montag either.
We’re on the fence.
