In an effort to compete with other basic cable networks, FX will add NCAA college football to their lineup this fall.
The channel is partnering with Fox Sports Media Group to carry at least 13 major conference and non-conference college football games this year from current rights agreements with the Big 12, Pac-12 and Conference USA.
FX president John Landgraf commented on the deal, saying:
“Sports programming is a key component that has been missing on FX for a while, and we look forward to its return on our schedule. This NCAA football package will feature some of the nation’s marquee schools and matchups, and it will be a great addition to our lineup.”
The first game is set to air September 3rd on the network.
