Garth Brooks Accused Rape Makeup Artist Lawsuit Trisha Yearwood

Garth Brooks has been accused of sexual assault and battery.

A lawsuit was filed in California state court on Thursday by a plaintiff identified as Jane Roe, according to CNN. The filings describe multiple instances of sexual misconduct in 2019… The first of which allegedly occurred at the Friends in Low Places singer’s home.

Jane claims she was there for work when Garth got out of the shower completely naked, walked over to her, “grabbed her hands and forced them” onto his penis while speaking to her with sexually explicit language. TMZ reported he had an erection, and that he told her he fantasized about her performing oral sex on him.

The filing also contains a claim that in May of that same year, Jane accompanied Garth on his private plane from Nashville to Los Angeles for a Grammys tribute to Sam Moore. However, the plaintiff claims in her filings, she thought it was odd that she and the country singer were the only two passengers aboard. The filings state:

“Usually there were others on Brooks’ private jet but this time, Ms. Roe and Brooks were the only two passengers.”

According to her, things kept getting more odd as when they arrived at their hotel she found out Garth had only booked one room for her to share and denied her request to get her own space:

“Once in Los Angeles at the hotel, Ms. Roe could not believe that Brooks had booked a hotel suite with one bedroom and she did not have a separate room.”

And once inside the hotel room the real horrors allegedly began.

According to Jane, Garth “appeared in the doorway to the bedroom, completely naked,” which made her feel “trapped in the room alone with Brooks.” Garth then allegedly dragged her by force onto a bed and mercilessly raped her.

In a detailed account, she describes him dragging her by her ankles, then penetrating her with his penis. She says he rammed it in so hard, she felt as if her body was breaking in two, per TMZ. So, so horrible.

Afterward, she did Garth’s makeup. She explains in the suit she had fallen on hard times and couldn’t afford to quit — even though things had changed. From that point, Garth allegedly continued to speak to her with sexually explicit language, grope her, and fantasize about a threesome with her and his wife Trisha Yearwood, who is also a former client of the makeup artist.

According to CNN, Garth attempted to block Jane from going public with her allegations in a legal complaint he filed under John Doe. In said complaint, he claimed Jane’s attorney sent a “confidential” letter demanding “salaried employment and medical benefits.” His filings stated:

“Defendant’s allegations are not true. Defendant is well aware, however, of the substantial, irreparable damage such false allegations would do to Plaintiff’s well-earned reputation as a decent and caring person, along with the unavoidable damage to his family and the irreparable damage to his career and livelihood that would result if she made good on her threat to ‘publicly file’ her fabricated lawsuit.”

However, Jane’s attorneys, including Douglas H. Wigdor, Jeanne M. Christensen, and Hayley Baker, aren’t having it. They told CNN Garth’s “efforts to silence our client through the filing of a preemptive complaint in Mississippi was nothing other than an act of desperation and attempted intimidation.” They added:

“We are confident that Brooks will be held accountable for his actions. We applaud our client’s courage in moving forward with her complaint against Garth Brooks. The complaint filed today demonstrates that sexual predators exist not only in corporate America, Hollywood and in the rap and rock and roll industries but also in the world of country music.”

This is so awful… So much is coming to light. We’ll never be able to look at him and Trisha the same…
