Usually when George Lucas redoes something, he adds Jar Jar Binks. Thankfully for everyone at his recent second wedding, the character did not make an appearance.
George met his then girlfriend and now wife Mellody Hobson back in 2006, and popped the question to her earlier in January of this year.
The wedding was a star studded event, with guests that included Ron Howard, Samuel L. Jackson, and even basketball hall of famer and former Senator Bill Bradley gave Melody away. We can only hope they played John Williams‘ Imperial March as she walked down the aisle in a gold bikini.
George was previously married to Marcia Lou Griffin, the editor of the original Star Wars films whose work earned her an Oscar. George also has three adopted children, all of whom have cameos in Episodes I, II, and III, which may or may not be their nicknames.
We wish the newlyweds the best and hope the force is with them!
