Former commander-in-chief George W. Bush surprised troops with a pre-recorded message of support during a taping of the Colbert Report’s USO tour in Iraq.
We can’t believe he had the nerve to do it!
“Laura and I send our greetings to our servicemen and women. Your achievements in Iraq have earned you a special place in American history,” said Bush. “You are men and women of great courage and endurance, and that’s gonna come in handy. I’ve sat through some of Stephen’s stuff before.”
It’s sad W. has to rely on schtick to address the troops!!!
“I’ve gotta say, I miss that guy,” replied Colbert after the video message.
Supposedly, Bush’s message garnered less applause than President Obama‘s shout-out last week.
Bush is the reason the troops are there!
Figures!!!
