Since a sting of terrible romantic comedies, Gerard Butler needs to prove that he can do something other than eff his costars.
The fledgeling actor has decided to tackle some of the most difficult work of his career – Shakespeare.
Butler will attempt to hold his own alongside powerhouses William Hurt, Vanessa Redgrave and Ralph Fiennes in William Shakespeare’s Coriolanus.
The “passion project” will be directed by Fiennes, who will also occupy the lead role.
It has not been confirmed what role Gerard will potray in the film adaptation, but we have our money on Coriolanus’ sworn enemy, Tullus Aufidius.
At least it’s something a little more 300, a little less The Ugly Truth!
