The Ghostbusters reboot may be going in a different direction with an all-female cast, but they’re paying some homage to their roots.
Original creator and star Dan Aykroyd is doing a cameo!

The fellow Saturday Night Live alum of cast members Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon confirmed the news on Twitter, writing:
Aykroyd deleted the tweet almost as soon as he posted it, so we’re guessing he wasn’t supposed to reveal the surprise!
But according to sources on the set, he is playing a cabbie who drives the ladies around.
We also hear at one point he utters the classic song line “I ain’t afraid of no ghosts,” and Kristen tells him that’s a double negative! LOLz!
Sounds like this movie is taking a pretty tongue-in-cheek Stantz to us! Love it!
