You may recognize Gia Gunn from season 6 of RuPaul’s Drag Race or the Chilean version of Drag Race, The Switch.
In April 2017, the queen announced she identifies as a transgender woman, something she knew since she was five years old.
A little over a year later, Miz Gunn is beginning her outward transition. She first started sharing on her YouTube channel with the #30DaysInTransition campaign, revealing Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon Dr. Leif Rogers will be performing a breast reconstruction surgery and a fat transfer to her butt and hips. She has also undergone three years of hormone replacement therapy already.

Gia’s goal is to not only promote safe surgery options for the trans community, but to feel the external confidence she already feels within.
Dr. Rogers shared:
“Gia is an ideal leader for the transgender community and has made smart, deliberate decisions in how to proceed in her transition process. I admire Gia for her sense of esthetic, which aligns with my own, in that she prefers a natural look, that is congruent with her ethnicity and the appearance of an unaltered female form. She is the epitome of good taste and excellent judgment.”
