Britain's Largest Wild Animal Killed

A giant stag, which was thought to be Britain’s largest wild animal was killed. He was gunned down by a licensed sport hunter and not a poacher.
The stag, which was named Exmoor Emperor was 300 pounds and stood nearly 9 feet tall! That is HUGE!
The Emperor was thought to be the largest among all of the stags. Animal activists are enraged about this shooting and they think that these red deer should be better protected during their mating season.
British deer expert Peter Donnelly explained his frustration. He said that people from all over had been coming to Exmoor National Park specifically for “bloodsport.”
We hope they can do something to stop this problem, especially in a time when we should be protecting our wildlife.
