Gigi Hadid is getting real about her rise to fame.
For the past several years, the 27-year-old model has been one of the fashion world’s leading it girls. From countless catwalks, to a variety of Vogue cover shoots — there’s no doubt Gigi has remained at the top of her game. However, she wants to remind you that her success is partially due to her head start.
If you didn’t already know, the Next in Fashion co-host is the daughter of two parents that didn’t necessarily have to pinch pennies throughout her childhood… Her mother, Yolanda Hadid, a Dutch model turned interior designer, has found herself a starring role on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, while her father, Mohamed Hadid, is a Palestinian-born real estate developer.
Over the weekend, the mother of one acknowledged her privileged background, admitting to the Sunday Times:
“Technically I’m a nepotism baby.”

She added, “I’ve always acknowledged that I come from privilege,” noting that while her parents “came from very little” before carving out their own lucrative careers, they’ve always encouraged her to put her best foot forward:
“My parents told me, ‘Just because you have parents who were successful, it doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t walk into the job being as nice and as hard-working as you can be.’”
What a lucky girl to have parents that could provide pretty much anything she needed financially, AND to be bestowed with such great advice. However, we all know how toxic Yolanda can be when it comes to Gigi’s physical appearance… AND relationships.
The model, whose real name is Jelena Noura Hadid, then doubled down on crediting her privileged upbringing to her success, adding she doesn’t believe herself to be “the prettiest person in the world, and that she could “probably do” with some Botox.

Way to keep it real — or at least the Hollywood version of keeping it real, LOLz! DailyMail.com reported Gigi even revealed her first modeling gig was at just 2 years old for a Guess campaign!
As you know, Gigi and Yolanda aren’t the only models in the fam, as her younger sister Bella Hadid, 26, is one of the fashion world’s other leading it girls, and their little brother Anwar Hadid, 23, is also making a name for himself in the modeling world. Famous fam!
