After The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo came out last year, we were all like “What?? That movie was what’s up!!” And when we heard that both Daniel Craig & hottie newbie Rooney Mara were locked in for the sequel, we seriously could not wait for the second installment of the Millennium Trilogy.
But now it turns out that our wait just got even longer than we thought it’d be!
The sequel, The Girl Who Played With Fire, has been confirmed it will NOT be released in 2013.
Apparently the screenwriter, Steven Zaillian, is being super lazy or something, and hasn’t even finished the darn thing, yet!
We mean, come on, you’re basically copying a story and putting it into the format of a screenplay – how hard can that really be?
(Side note: We’re totally being sarcastic. We realize this is an EXTREMELY hard thing to do).
While there is still no director officially, sources say that David Fincher remains the first choice and is still in the cool runnings.
Come on, David – say yes, already!!!
