We can’t imagine how hard this will be to film, but we’re sure it will be beautiful.
While there was plenty of speculation, Ryan Murphy has confirmed rumors that Glee will honor Cory Monteith with a tribute episode.
After his sudden passing from an overdose, Gleeks have been wondering how the show would handle the heartbreaking tragedy.
And it turns out, the show plans to bring fans a tribute episode sooner rather than later as Ryan revealed:
“We had two episodes that we finished writing in May that were our Beatles tributes that we’ve been working on for four years, so those were already done. With some slight modifications, we decided, ‘OK, let’s shoot these. Let’s get people back and then let’s take the time to write and deal with a tribute to Cory,’ which I guess we’re going to do for episode three and then after that episode airs, we’re going to go off the air for awhile and take a little hiatus and figure out what is the future of the show … we want people to feel that we have, not only a memorial for Cory, but a memorial for Finn.”
We already know Lea Michele wanted the show to go on, and we can’t imagine what strength it will take for her to get through filming the tribute.
But we just know her love for Cory along with everyone else’s will certainly shine during the tribute.
We wish the best to the cast as they film the emotional episode.
