It’s happening, it’s REALLY happening!
Pack your bags, soon-to-be McKinley alums! You’re heading to New York!
Fox Entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly recently confirmed all of our hopes for the rest of the Glee series!
The Fox dramedy will no longer split its time between Lima, Ohio and New York City because Kevin finally revealed that Glee will solely focus on the NYC gang.
He dished on the future of the series:
“We do have it through next season, and that will be its final season. He’s [Ryan Murphy] got some fantastic ideas on what we’re going to do next year for the final year.”
We srsly cannot wait to hear or see these ideas come to life!! Knowing Ryan, it’s bound to be something fantastic!
Fox Entertainment’s chairman continued to spill:
“Some are going to be graduating and moving; creatively, it would be ridiculous that everybody moves to New York. There will be some that will graduate and move on and they’ll arc back in when we do special episodes. They’ll always be a part of it. The way it’s going to dovetail next season, we’ll see some familiar faces coming around in some capacity. But for this season, there will be a graduation, several of the cast members will move on and a few others will go to New York.”
Kevin kept mum on the details of which characters will continue their journey on Glee, BUT, he did acknowledge that Jane Lynch and Matthew Morrison will NOT be exiting the series!
He continued to say:
“As long as there’s a show, there’s Jane. We’re not going to be in Ohio anymore the rest of this season.”
That just leaves us with one question, if the rest of the series will take place in NYC and Sue Sylvester and Mr. Shue will still be around, does that mean they’re moving to New York too?!
Are they going to take teaching positions at NYADA? Is Will going to start a Glee club in New York?!
There are obvi big things planned for Glee‘s future! Guess we’ll just have to continue watching to find out who stays and who goes!
Are U excited for NYC, Gleeks?!
