Well, it’s a little more involved than just that, but that’s the basic principle.
The Walt Disney Co. announced a new campaign for their theme parks in 2010. For as many as 1 million people who volunteer through the HandsOn Network, Disney will honor the good deed by offering a free 1-day admission to any theme park, either at Disneyland or Walt Disney World Resort.
The promotion is being dubbed “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day” – and we have to say, it is somewhat genius. Not only does it reward deserving folks, but it gets bodies into the parks during the recession. Maybe they won’t make the $70 dollars off them in ticket sales, but once you’re in, they’ll get your money from something else!
The deal starts on January 1st. People who are interested can go to their website to look through what volunteer opportunities are available and sign up for events.
