Fans of The Great Gatsby may think the author would have identified most with Nick Carroway, the narrator Tobey Maguire plays in the upcoming movie version.
But it turns out F. Scott Fitzgerald may have made an even better Daisy!
The revered author was apparently an occasional cross-dresser, as seen in this pic from The New York Times way back in 1916!
The pic appeared among promo materials for a musical comedy show called The Evil Eye the writer was performing in while at Princeton.
And if you think F. Scott made quite the fetching lass, you aren’t alone! The Times reportedly called the author “the most beautiful” girl in the show!
If only Ru Paul’s Drag Race were around a hundred years ago to put that claim to the test! LOLz!
