‘Go F**k Yourself’: 5 Years Later, Gwyneth Paltrow Is STILL Angry About The Goop Vagina Candle

Gwyneth Paltrow has a message for all the haters of her vagina candle: “Go f**k yourself”!

The Iron Man star sat down with Vishen Lakhiani for his Manifesting Summit over the weekend and opened up about her infamous Goop candle called “This Smells Like My Vagina”. Reflecting on how the polarizing name came to be, she recalled:

“That product is so fascinating because we were messing around with different scents one day and I smelled something and I was like, ‘Oh, that smells like… you know.’ [But] I was joking.”

However, Heretic Parfum founder Douglas Little took her joke as a lightbulb idea and encouraged her to “make that a candle and put it on the site.” Gwyneth thought he was “kidding” about it, but not for long:

“I was like, ‘Yeah definitely, that sounds like a winner right there.’ And then all of the sudden it was literally on the website.”

OMG!

She joked “it took us a long time to live that one down” — but ultimately has no regrets:

I kept it on the site because there is an aspect to women’s sexuality that I think we’re socialized to feel a lot of shame and I sort of loved this sort of punk rock idea. We are beautiful, and we are awesome, and go f**k yourself.”
