'Not On Ozempic': Cheryl Burke Lashes Out At Fan Rumors About Her 'Unrecognizable' New Face!

Cheryl Burke Hits Back At Fan Concern Over Her Drastic Appearance Change

Cheryl Burke is setting the record straight about her face!

The Dancing with the Stars alum has been a hot topic among social media users recently as her appearance suddenly and drastically changed. Earlier this month, we reported how Cheryl’s fans were getting concerned — especially after a GRWM video she posted, in which fans got an unfiltered closeup look at her face with no makeup. They’ve been calling her “unrecognizable,” with many speculating she could be on weight loss drugs or suffering from some type of illness.

There’s no doubt she looks pretty different than she used to! But is it weight loss drugs? Illness? Knifestyles of the rich and famous? Or something else?

The 41-year-old is putting all the rumors to rest. In a new video posted to Instagram on Sunday, she blasted all the speculation:

“So let’s just address the elephant in the comment section. I’m not on Ozempic. I’m not sick. I didn’t get a face transplant and, no, I didn’t get a brow lift. The level of projection that’s been happening and that I’m witnessing is wild.”

She went on to say she’s not just a “headline”:

“The way some of you guys talk about me it’s like you think I’m a headline or a filter, not a person.”

And she doesn’t want her fans to get stuck in the past, either! The dancer hinted that she doesn’t want to look back — especially at her divorce from Matthew Lawrence in 2022:

“But here’s the most disappointing part that gets me: ‘We miss the old Cheryl, the Suite Life of Zack and Cody Cheryl back in 2006.’ Dancing with the Stars season two when I was 21 years old. The three years ago Cheryl when I was going through a divorce. I hate to break it to you but that Cheryl doesn’t exist anymore.”

And while she didn’t offer any specific explanation to combat the “exhausting” rumors about her changing looks — she did imply it’s just natural aging. Which is a good thing! She said:

“The assumptions are just exhausting as hell. The accusations are completely cruel and the fact that so many of them are actually coming from women, that is what is so shocking and hurtful, to be quite honest. I’ve been in the public eye since I was 21 years old. My body has changed over the past 20 years. My face has changed, because I’ve changed.”

Looking back on her past, she mused about how her struggles have shaped her:

“I’ve experienced so much trauma, divorce — and this is by no means a pity party — sobriety, burnout, reinvention. I’ve healed, I’ve lost, I’ve grieved just like anybody else. And, yeah, maybe it shows, but I’m not sorry for it. Not one bit.”

Cheryl then addressed her new life and revealed what’s “really changed” with her:

“My passion, my purpose, my commitment. My commitment to using this platform for something real. But what’s been so challenging, honestly, lately is this pressure to prove that I haven’t done something. To convince people that my healing is valid. Especially because it doesn’t come with a ‘before and after’ label that they approve of.”

The TV personality said she’s still the same Cheryl at the end of the day — one who gets tired of this kind of attack on women’s looks:

“I’m still the same person that has advocated for mental health for many years. And body image, for years. I just do it differently now, then maybe you’re used to. I’m quieter, I have boundaries, and more discernment.”

All in all, Cheryl is absolutely fed up with “women tearing down other women, while pretending it’s all concern”. She said she’s still going through her healing journey, and “still growing” as a person. Wrapping up, she left viewers with one statement:

“If you’re here to speculate, or compare, or demand answers that you’re just not entitled to, you’re not welcome in this space that I have created.”
